ireland was fantastic! might even have to go back this summer. we spent the first few days with our friend bryan … good to catch up and hang out with him. we stayed at his place and got to see where he works (the nursery that his family owns). we went to the guinness factory and learned how to pour the perfect pint! christy’s parents and brother flew in on the 4th and we headed to kinsale … a quaint little town right along the bandon river. ended up staying in a cute B&B (all of the B&B’s in ireland are cute) and listening to live, traditional irish music at a pub called daltons! the music was fantastic … everybody was so friendly and having so much fun! the irish people really do make you feel welcome in their country. we drove around the ring of kerry … the landscape along this drive is absolutely beautiful! we made lots of stops along the way, but the only ones coming to mind right now are ross castle and ladies view. we were so fortunate to have amazing weather on the days we traveled. ireland isn’t known for its summers. the cliffs of moher were one of the more picturesque places i’ve seen during my travels. if you ever go to ireland you should definitely check it out. we ended our time in ireland in adare at an irish wedding … lots of fun! irish weddings are apparently known for lasting all night … and i think a few people actually made it all the way through.
good times in ireland … yummy fish and chips, good guinness, beautiful landscape, great accents, and lovely people!
